Brewing a Drip
Our recommended parameters are suited for coffees that are adequately rested minimally 21 days and after, from roast date. Longer resting phase up to 6 weeks may also be helpful for extraction outcome.
Please open the sealed bag at least 3 days before intended brew session to allow atmospheric integration. Valve seal (transparent label) may also be removed to promote resting phase.
Our coffee beans are best enjoyed within 12 months from roast date, and 6 months since opened (inclusive of resting phase).
Brew Setting
Brew Strategy
3-pour approach is recommended for optimal extraction in flavours and intensity when brewing our coffees. Please introduce water in a steady gentle stream, in a center-circular-center motion for each interval.
Brewing an Espresso
When brewing an espresso with our omni-roast, we recommend an extraction profile that features tasting layers with a medium-light body, and long sweetness. This presents a balance cup for enjoyment across espresso, black, and milk coffee.
Extraction Setting
During espresso extraction, our lighter roast tend to yield a delicate and refine layer of crema, while retaining a greater transparency and complexity of flavours. The presence and volume of crema is not a considered measure of our coffee freshness and quality.
Extraction presentation will vary across coffee selections and bean profile. For a medium roast presentation, we recommend selecting our intended blend – Black Jam (No.9).
Brewing with Drip Bag
Drip bag brewing reflects a belief that continues to shape our approach to coffee – clarity through simplicity. A brewing method that is simple, consistent, and easy to work with.
For our drip bag, we recommend a 3-pour approach to bring forward a balanced structure and composed flavour profile.
